Another great Sunday for the nippers. We are going from strength to strength. Thanks to Barry and Kelly and all of the parents who come down and help on the beach every week. The kids are having lots of fun and it’s great to watch them as their confidence grows with their water skills. Don’t forget there is board training for the juniors on Thursday at 4:30 and the next carnival will be at Woolgoolga on Sun Nov 23.
It was good to see a fair size group finish their proficiencies this week. We still have some to get through so proficiencies will be on again next Sunday at 9.30. Remember this has to be done ASAP, so for those who haven’t turned up so far, please be there. If you want to practice for your proficiencies come down to training on Tuesday nights any time from 4.30 on. Bronze training is also still on. By the time we make it to Christmas, our trainers and assessor will be needing a holiday!
It was good to see the group practicing on the boards this Sunday. If anyone wants to practice sprints and flags come down on Sundays.
Special mention this week goes to Margaret Gundry, a long time benefactor and supporter of the surf club. Congratulations and best wishes on your 80th birthday Margaret. It was good to see you kick up your heels at your big birthday bash.
