Relay for Life

11/11/2008 7:43:00 AM
Almost a month has passed since Urunga hosted this year’s Bellingen Shire Relay for Life, and donations are still pouring in.

Earlier this week a staggering $41,507 had been pledged to the event, more than $11,500 above the $30,000 reserve.

Many participants are buzzing with excitement as the amount keeps climbing.

Relay for Life survivor and special guest Bess Hall was overwhelmed and close to tears when she learned about the total.

Co-organiser Tracy Neaves is urging anyone who has pledged money to get it in quickly to enable the committee to start planning next year’s event.
