Matthew Rose wins Lillipilli woodwork exhibition

3/06/2008 9:53:00 AM
Bellingen High student Matthew Rose of Urunga has recently won 1st Prize in the youth section of woodwork at the Lillipilli Art and Craft Exhibition in Coffs Harbour. This exhibition is the largest of its kind between Sydney and Brisbane. Matthew's love of woodworking began in his woodwork class in Year 7 with Mr Harding. Matthew spent a week in the Christmas holidays attending a workshop with well known local woodworker Neil Scobie. His winning entry was a small Treasure Chest which he handcrafted as a part of this class. Well Done Matthew.
