LEST WE FORGET

11/11/2008 12:08:00 PM
Small groups gathered at War Memorials across the shire at 11 o’clock on Tuesday, November 11 to observe Remembrance Day. It was the 90th anniversary of Armistice Day, which marks the end of the First World War. Almost 62,000 Australians lost their lives in the war to end all wars. Pictured above at the Bellingen Cenotaph is a small group of residents which included members of the Locke family who lost a son and brother in Afghanistan last year.
