H & W Emporium evacuated

18/11/2008 9:22:00 AM
The Hammond and Wheatley Emporium in Bellingen was evacuated last Wednesday (Nov 12) when it was feared the proprietor had been overcome by fumes.

Police, ambulance paramedics and the fire brigade were called to the building at 9.30am. Investigations revealed cement dust from a saw operating at the rear of the building had made her dizzy.

Business returned to normal after 15 minutes.
