Carols Urunga only five weeks away

The days are growing longer and the weather is warming up which means the time of bells jingling and trees being decorated is nearly upon us! In fact its only five short weeks until Carols Urunga will be held!

The Urunga Mylestom Chamber of Commerce is holding the 14th annual Carols by Candlelight on Saturday 20th December at the Morgo Street Reserve, Urunga. The programme will feature many talented performers from our own area, including The Bellinger Boys Choir, The Bellingen High School Band, Erica and Freya Cross, Heidi Holland and Nat’s Singers to name a few and of course a special visit all the way from the North Pole- just for the kids , Santa will be making a visit on stage!

Carols Urunga is renowned for its great family atmosphere and its very special setting with our riverside stage overlooking the twin rivers. To help everyone relax there will plenty of food and drinks available for your family to enjoy on the night. And to help create that special Carols atmosphere as darkness descends, there will be Glo candles and lights available too. Remember to have your singing voices at the ready as all the performers love to hear the crowd join in with their favourite carols.

You may be lucky and win a Christmas ham from the famous “chocolate wheel” spins or perhaps some other great prizes from the Carols raffle!

The Fireworks Spectacular finale to Carols Urunga is sure to be a wonderful site as the pyrotechnics light up the sky over the rivers. What a fantastic way to conclude this much loved community event and to herald the festive season!

The Urunga Mylestom Chamber of Commerce hopes you will all enjoy Carols Urunga on Saturday 20th December from 5pm.

16/12/2008 | So we now have desperate parents attempting to bribe teachers to get their children into a selective high school. What a sad indictment of our education policies, the holy grail of which is parental choice.
